Built by the Tristão da Cunha, the first vice-king of India, this palace was the residence of illustrious personages of Portugal’s history. Besides Tristão da Cunha, the queen D. Leonor, the “conjured”, that restored the independence of Portugal in 1640 and the Marquis of Olhão inhabited this palace.
