Menino Deus (Private Church)
Come and meet one of the most beautiful and exceptional church in Lisbon.
Built in 1711 by the king John V, the most eccentric king from the baroque period in Portugal. This church is one of the most beautiful and unique in Lisbon. Beside its unusual design, with eight faces, this church is very special because it survived the 1755 earthquake and for that we can admire the inlaid marble work of João Antunes and the paintings of André Gonçalves, Vieira Lusitano and of the Spanish painter André Rovira.
